People love colourful fruits and vegetables as they are naturally tasty and can be consumed on-the-go. Let's not forget, however, about their remarkable health value! Not only are they good source of vitamins and minerals, they also abound in such beneficial substances as flavonoids, phenols and dietary fiber. For that reason, a diet which includes a variety of fruits and vegetables protects against all cases of cancer, heart disease, stroke and many other afflictions.

The popular adage says that one apple a day keeps the doctor away. It is is recommended though that each day you have at least five servings of various fruits and vegetables. Including them in your daily diet is really easy! Fruits and vegetables are most nutritious when they are fresh and when eaten raw, but they also make excellent soups, cakes, and desserts!
